Outkast will be playing Drake's OVO festival in Toronto on August 3rd. 
They were quite probable and are now practically confirmed.
My suspicion is that Outkast will play Osheaga on Saturday.

A recently announced tour shows slightly suspicious scheduling for Oberst: he's playing festivals, he isn't playing Montreal and he is playing New York 3 days before Osheaga.

Third Headliner Speculation

Osheaga has confirmed a few times on Facebook that there will be a third headliner announcement in the coming weeks. Many have speculated that it may be Green Day, which I have talked about in a previous post. However, another possibility has come up : The Killers. 

The Killers are headlining Lollapalooza on the Friday, which gives them plenty of time to get back to Montreal for the Sunday headlining spot. Furthermore, they are skipping Montreal on their spring tour despite a show in Toronto, which they usually never do. 

They are therefore a definite possibility. 

This brings the list of possible headliners to 3:
- Green Day
- The Killers 
- The Yeah Yeah Yeahs

Opener Shovels & Rope are already announced for Osheaga.

Yeah Yeah Yeahs

Yeah Yeah Yeahs will probably be playing Osheaga this summer.
Here is a report by a french newspaper.

We can therefore speculate that they will be part of the 20+ bands yet to be announced.

As for Green Day, it is uncertain if they are playing or not. On one hand, @alrochette predicted them (he was right about every other prediction). Furthermore, they were on the thumbnail of the poster on the Osheaga website. On the other hand, they may have bailed at the last minute. We'll just have to wait and see with the next round of bands. Maybe Yeah Yeah Yeahs will replace another headliner this year, like they did in '09...
